Detailed Itinerary

14 Days Best of Uganda Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

When you land at Entebbe International Airport, a driver from Adventure in the Wild Safaris will pick you up and take you to your hotel in Entebbe. It's about a 15-minute drive.


Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Your first morning in Africa is something special, right? After a relaxed breakfast, head out to Lake Mburo National Park, which is the smallest national park in Uganda, located in Kiruhura district. The journey takes about 4 hours. On the way, you'll stop at the equator for some photos. Once you reach Lake Mburo National Park, check into your accommodation and have lunch. In the evening, go on a game drive to see wildlife like zebras, impalas, and monkeys. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.


Day 3: Lake Mburo National Park – Full Day

Explore the savanna of Lake Mburo National Park with a morning game drive to see Africa’s big game species up close. After breakfast, take a nature walk and a canoe ride on Lake Mburo. Return to the lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing. Enjoy the beautiful African sunset before dinner.


Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park

After breakfast, travel to Bwindi Forest National Park in the southwest of Uganda. The drive takes about 7-8 hours with stops in picturesque villages along the way. Bwindi Forest is known for its rich birdlife and is home to mountain gorillas, making it a vital conservation area.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Forest

Embark on an exciting gorilla trek in Bwindi Forest after breakfast. Your guide will lead you into the jungle to track and interact with gorillas. Spend over an hour observing these magnificent creatures. In the evening, experience the culture of the Batwa people before returning to the lodge for dinner.


Day 6: Hike across Bwindi Impenetrable National Park To Queen Elizabeth

Start early for a hike through Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, known for its diverse wildlife and scenic beauty. Then, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions. The journey takes about 4 hours.


Day 7: Queen Elizabeth – Launch Cruise and Game Drive

Enjoy morning game drives and a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, known for its diverse wildlife and bird species. After lunch, explore more of the park before returning to the lodge.


Day 8: Transfer from Queen Elizabeth to Kibale Forest National Park

Depart early for Kibale Forest National Park, known for its primate population. The drive takes about 3-4 hours.


Day 9: Chimpanzee Habituation Experience in Kibale Forest

Join a full-day chimpanzee habituation experience, tracking these lively primates in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner.


Day 10: Transfer from Kibale to Murchison Falls National Park

Travel to Murchison Falls National Park, enjoying the scenery along the way. The journey takes about 6 hours.


Day 11: Experience the Savannah of Murchison Falls – Full Day

Embark on morning game drives and a boat safari to the bottom of Murchison Falls. After lunch, hike to the top of the falls for stunning views before returning to the lodge.


Day 12: Transfer from Murchison Falls to Kidepo Valley National Park

Travel to Kidepo Valley National Park, either by chartered plane or by road. Enjoy a game drive upon arrival before settling in at the lodge.


Day 13: Wildlife in Kidepo Valley – Full Day

Explore Kidepo Valley National Park on morning and evening game drives, observing a variety of wildlife. Enjoy leisure time at the lodge in between

Day 14: Flight to Entebbe and Departure

After a morning game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. Transfer to the airport
